The sounds of Auld Lang Syne ring out, Soon midnight meets the Dawn, Darkness soon gives way to day, A brand New Year is born. The year is 2022!! How quickly does time fly! Seems like the twinkling of an eye, Is how fast a year goes by! A year so filled with challenges, When each day seemed so long, But all in all the weeks and months Seem to’ve scurried right along! Suddenly the Old Year seems So distant and remote, As though it was so long ago, As the “OLD” year would denote! The “NEW” year seems to bring a chance To begin again, anew; To approach each day, and week , and month, With a fresh insight and view. With this in mind may we see all The good there is to see, And make most of the renewed time, And opportunity To start afresh, at least some things, And get the best from them, With a little change of mindset, Turn a stone into a gem! Of course it sounds simplistic, And not an easy task, But we can determine the course Of many things we ask.
