One note plays, then another, A tune begins to grow, A lovely song soon fills the air As music starts to flow. The sound of music soon transforms The mood and atmosphere, Smiles emerge, the air seems light, There’s gaiety everywhere. The magical tune fills hearts with love, It brightens mind and soul, Bringing one new energy And positivity untold. All of a sudden, we need to dance, Or sing along with the tune, Sitting still is difficult, As is trying not to croon! We feel the rhythm in our feet, To get up and to dance, And the tune is echoing in our mind, Just waiting for the chance. To sing, to dance, to enjoy The tempo and the tone, We can’t resist the urge to dance, With others, or just alone. Music is a language Unique in every way, Understood by everyone, Be they where they may! It crosses every barrier, It soothes the human mind, It’s said to also improve health, Emotions, and benefits of all kind. Science shows that Music Has many healing powers, Enhances learning, heals the heart; We could still list for hours. The many good things Music does, Beyond the pure enjoyment, While I am thankful for them all, My joy is in the moment! So start the Music, turn up the sound, Let us have some fun!
