Thankful

Posted on September 22, 2021March 17, 2022 by Author
Let’s take some time out to reflect
On things that control our mind,
The things that have shaped and honed us,
And have determined the paths we find.

The things we like about ourselves,
Let’s make them even stronger,
But the negatives that cause us pain,
Submit to them no longer.

If they’re due to some unhappiness
Or experience from the past,
Let’s force ourselves to let them go,
And banish them at last.

Let’s give ourselves the right to be
Happier and more free,
And call upon the power within,
To embrace prosperity.

With renewed conviction let us aim
For peace and happiness,
To fill our hearts and minds with
What brings joy and thankfulness.

Thankful to Him who gave us Life,
And the power to make it good,
Thankful for the beautiful Earth
For our Dwelling Place and food;

Thankful for our families,
And all whom we hold dear,
Thankful for our many Blessings
That manifest everywhere.

Thankful for another day
To enjoy the things we love,
For the grass, the trees, the flowers,
For the bright blue skies above.

Thankful for to chance to do
Some good as we live our days,
To bring some joy to others,
Even in simple ways.

For sometimes all it takes is
A kind word, thought or act;
We don’t need to do astounding things
To have a true impact.

A smile , a hug, a cheerful word,
Concern for another’s plight,
Meeting people heart to heart,
Can make a burden light.

Be Thankful for the Gifts we have,
And use them well and fair,
So while we tread this blessed Earth,
We make good footprints here.
